Quartets

Trademark has been performing in and around the Calgary area since 2007. Although only together as a quartet for a few years, the members of Trademark have been friends since the early 1980's and each possesses a wealth of experience to bring a great sound, humour, and some great entertainment to the stage.   Trademark has been the Quartet Champs or runner up in the Division III (Alberta) region since 2007 including being the 2012 Alberta Quartet Champs.

Check out Trademark’s website and listen to a few short clips.  From blues through jazz and early rock, Trademark covers a wide range of musical styles, always with a certain sense of style that makes them truly fun to experience.

COLLAGE
A typical definition of COLLAGE is:
A collection of artistic components gathered into a satisfying, creative and unique ensemble or picture.

This highly entertaining quartet is the only mixed barbershop quartet in Alberta, and maybe even the only one in Western Canada. The quartet is made up of four exceptional singers.

Not only do they sing songs in the barbershop harmony style, but they also venture into the styles of western, country, gospel, music from the 30's and 40's, doo wop and contemporary music. They are frequent performers at care centers and seniors lodges, at private parties, at community and corporate events, and they have performed on barbershop shows in Calgary, Medicine Hat and Red Deer.

Singing tenor is Joann Bast. She has been singing a cappella barbershop music for the past 20 years with the Chinook Winds Show Chorus and with a number of different quartets.

Lead singer is Lavonne Fuller – a relative new comer to barbershop and a cappella singing. She is an accomplished pianist and does accompaniment for a number of school choirs in the Calgary area. She has sung with the Chinook Winds Show Chorus and currently sings with the Savridi Singers.

The low notes are capably handled by bass singer Bob Glover. Bob has been singing barbershop harmonies for some 35 years and currently sings with both the Western Hospitality Singers and the Stampede City Chorus. He has also had experience singing in a number of barbershop quartets.

The baritone in the quartet is Bob Robson, a barbershop singer in the Calgary area for over 40 years. He has been musical director of the Red Deer Wild Rose Harmonizers and the Chinook Winds Show Chorus and is currently an assistant director with the Western Hospitality Singers. Bob has sung in many quartets in the Calgary area.
