STAMPEDE CITY CHORUS

PERFORMERS:

Antique Gold:  This quartet from Vancouver, BC travelled to Sacramento, CA in January 2006 to compete against Seniors Quartets from all over North America and came home with the 2006 Seniors Quartet Championship.  The smooth sophisticated sound provided by this quartet is a tribute to the experience these singers have with barbershop quartet singing.  Members of Antique Gold are Marty Lovick (Tenor), George Wakeham (Lead), Charlie Metzger (Baritone), and his brother George Metzger (Bass).

Doug Arden:  Doug is a comedian, magician and ventriloquist who focuses on one thing…entertaining audiences. Doug has cleverly combined clean stand-up comedy, incredible magic, ventriloquism, music, audience participation, and special effects, to make his one-of-a-kind show absolutely hilarious.

Trademark:  In 2006, this quartet won the Div III (Alberta) Quartet Contest and will be bringing their quality entertainment and humor to the show.  Lead: Darcy Fraser, Tenor: Doug Marwood, Bass: Doug Robertson, Bari: Kevin Robertson

Close Encounter:  Close Encounter made their first appearance at the Division III Contest in May, 2006 and they have turned a "brief encounter" into an opportunity to sing at the District Conventions in 2006 & 2007.  Lead: Keith Sveinson, Tenor: Leon Buchamer, Bass: Chris van der Baaren, Bari: Doug Spensley

GOLD:  GOLD is a local Calgary barbershop quartet whose members love to sing harmony to the good old songs and some contemporary ones that are only forty years old. We perform a variety of music styles and include some comedy as well.  Lead: Pat Sproule, Tenor: Wes Hartman, Bass: Bob Hughes, Bari: Rob Rae

TICKETS:

Tickets are now available for our Annual Show.  Tickets can be purchased through any member of the Stampede City chorus, by phoning (403) 547-4508 or by sending an e-mail to: StampedeCC@telus.net

Tickets for all of the shows are $20 each and  children under 12 accompanied by an adult are admitted without cost.  Choose either the 1:30pm and 7:30pm to fit your schedule.
