Johnny Thorson: Johnny Thorson has been a performer on the plectrum banjo since he was 18 years old. He assembled his first concert troupe in 1979 after seeing the famed jazz violinist, Stephane Grapelli in concert. Johnny has performed as an opening act for Bob Hope, Teresa Brewer and comedian David Steinberg. The description "Captain Banjo" came in 1970 when he put on a yachting Captain's hat to cover a receding hairline.
